Bookbinder (Experience Required)

Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for machinery mechanics? We are looking for top-class bookbinders to join our production team who can expertly translate production requirements into a visually appealing and functional product. What you’ll be doing:

  • Sets up and controls the assigned machine for each job specified.
  • Maintains machines regular maintenance, keeps machines ready to run product and ensures a clean and neat work area.
  • Checks and controls the quality of products on a running basis.
  • Manages and directs the work crew pertaining to using the proper material and maintains a high level of productivity.
  • Runs the machine at the optimal production speeds to the specified goals set by the Department Manager or Supervisor.
  • Seeks assistance when necessary to solve setup and running problems causing slower production speeds.
  • Provides feedback to management and supervision when slowdowns or issues occur on machines.
  • Participates in regular evaluations of crew members as required by supervision.
  • Performs all special duties assigned by management and supervision.

Current openings are on 2nd (3PM-11PM Mon thru Fri) or 3rd shift (11PM-7AM Sun thru Thurs)

What you need to know:

  • Ability to utilize logic and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Responsive to after-hours manufacturing questions, when necessary.
  • Courses in Graphic Communications or Business
  • Administration or relevant printing industry experience
