Environmental Compliance Enforcement in a COVID-19 World

Remote work and business interruptions could cause inadvertent non-compliance issues for printers. There are discretionary policies that may provide some relief from enforcement in certain situations. Mark Hammers of SCS Engineers will review the current policies, what they cover, actions you need to take, and when the protections will end.

About the Presenter:

Mark Hammers is a Staff Engineer for SCS Engineers in Madison, WI. His previous work as an air permit writer for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources makes him a first point of contact for any questions related to compliance requirements. He acted as the main Prevention of Significant permit engineer and was the permit writer for multiple printing industry permits.

His areas of expertise include regulatory compliance, sustainable practices, and chemical management. He has an in-depth knowledge of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and federal regulatory programs including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Oil Spills Prevention and Preparedness Regulations, and the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-know Act (EPCRA).
