This session will provide an overview of the DNR hazardous waste inspection process and what to expect when inspected including COVID Protocols. The DNR will provide an inspector’s perspective on the records request and review, and examples of emergency preparedness violations.

This is the fifth webinar in a series of six to assist Wisconsin Printers with understanding the Wisconsin Hazardous Waste regulations.

About the Presenters:

Ben Petrus graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 2011 with a degree in Soil and Waste Resource Management. He was in the Iowa hazardous waste disposal industry for six years. He joined the DNR in 2017 where he currently conducts hazardous waste compliance inspections and provides technical support.

Gary Jones is the Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety Affairs for PRINTING United Alliance. PRINTING United Alliance is the largest member-based printing and graphics arts association in the United States that provides resources, programs, education, and research to help printing companies grow their businesses. Gary has over 30 years of experience in helping members understand their compliance requirements and works with regulatory agencies on behalf of the printing industry.
