This session will provide an introduction to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources hazardous waste program staff and structure, new website and guidance documents, and a brief overview of common violations found at printing facilities in the state followed by a general hazardous waste, universal waste, and use oil management overview.

This is the first webinar in a series of six to assist Wisconsin Printers with understanding the Wisconsin Hazardous Waste regulations.

About the Presenters:

Andrea Keller is a mechanical engineer with industry experience ranging from automotive engineering and quality control, to environmental assessment and remediation technologies. Her environmental regulatory career started in North Carolina with the Dept. of Environmental Quality, working in both public water supply and in solid waste management. She has been with the Wisconsin DNR Waste & Materials Management program since 2015 and is currently the Hazardous Waste Prevention & Management Section Chief.

Amy Walden is a waste management specialist with 29 years of experience in the Environmental Management Division at the WI Department of Natural Resources. She gained her experience in the Superfund, Brownfields, Asbestos and Hazardous Waste Programs. Currently in the hazardous waste program, she provides technical support on complex hazardous waste, special waste and used oil regulatory issues.

Gary Jones is the Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety Affairs for PRINTING United Alliance. PRINTING United Alliance is the largest member-based printing and graphics arts association in the United States that provides resources, programs, education, and research to help printing companies grow their businesses. Gary has over 30 years of experience in helping members understand their compliance requirements and works with regulatory agencies on behalf of the printing industry.
