April 23, 2015
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
The Great Lakes Graphics Association and the Illinois Press Association have been working hard to correct a loss of tax incentives that are costing Illinois graphic art producers hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes. The process of Let Your Voice Be Heard! is at a critical juncture and must be made loud and clear in Springfield that our industry in Illinois is at a competitive loss without these incentives. Equipment will not be purchased, jobs will be lost or relocated to other industries or states, companies will move to other states leaving behind skilled workers, suppliers to the trade will no longer look to Illinois businesses to sell their products…the trickle-down effect goes on and on…
Now you have a powerful opportunity to Let Your Voice Be Heard! Come to our Legislative Day in Springfield on April 23, 2015: meet with key legislators face to face and tell them in person what the loss of these tax incentives means to your company.
Please take the time to register for this event and to reach out to the legislators in your district. Let them know that you are coming to Springfield on April 23rd and, as a constituent who generates jobs and tax revenue for the economy, want to meet with them to discuss your concerns.
If you do not know who your legislators are or how to make contact, click here.
