The business disruption resulting from COVID-19 has impacted workplaces like never before. Employee safety, leaves of absences, remote work, layoffs and resizing your workforce. They have all been topics of conversation in the past 12 months that are transforming workforce planning strategies. So, how are employers managing through these challenges? What are the important labor law changes employers need to be aware of? Join us in this timely session to explore the HR laws that have impacted our businesses, what we can expect with the new administration, and review state law updates that should be on our radar.

About the Presenter:

Debbie Morgan, PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS
Debbie’s first career was as a pastry chef, but she realized as time passed that food only provides a temporary solution; long term effects happen when you become a resource to people. Her “keeping it real” approach has helped her form trusted relationships across all levels of business, although it sometimes helps to call on her culinary skills to break the ice.

Prior to joining MRA, Debbie had over 18 years of HR experience in both the hospitality and manufacturing industries. Her career has included generalist to management roles where she has focused on benefits, wellness, and employee relations. A strong curiosity of employment law has lent itself to successfully handling Worker’s Compensation, unemployment and EEOC claims, as well as internal investigations.
