Join us for our next GLGA sustainability brief, where you will learn to explore comprehensive strategies for waste minimization and the circular economy with your business. This session will delve into sustainable material selection, process optimization, recycling, resource recovery, and more. Discover how these strategies can lead to cost savings, new revenue opportunities, and a strengthened reputation amongst eco-friendly clients.
Sustainability Briefs are quick, powerful sustainability programs (10-15 minutes) followed by as much Q+A time as you need. You can stay just for the presentations or take a deeper dive and ask some questions. Sustainability Briefs are held on the third Tuesday of every month at 2:00 p.m. Eastern/1:00 p.m. Central. Recordings are available through GLGA.
About the presenter:
Sonya Betker is a Zero Waste Professional with two decades of management experience. She has successfully driven regional, national, and global sustainability and circular economy programs for public and private clients. She takes a whole systems approach to lead and develop strategic sustainability programs. Skilled at maximizing partnerships to implement efficient sustainability programs, Sonya has a proven track record driving sustainability vertical and building the business case to highlight potential revenue gains and cost savings with buy-in to sustainability. Much of her experience is in business management and brokering up until her transition to consulting with an environmental engineering firm in 2021. Creating connections between varying stakeholders has been a constant throughout her career.
Joy is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education and the University of Stirling’s School of Environmental Sciences, Scotland.
