Machine Operator

We are looking to hire Machine Operators to run various print finishing equipment. A good candidate will have the desire to learn multiple skills. A great candidate will have experience operating print/print finishing machinery while maintaining a high-quality standard. Candidates with experience in die cutting, foil stamping, or folding and gluing are encouraged to apply!

MCD, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned graphics arts and print finishing company in business since 1972. MCD is a fast-paced and growing company that currently employs 70 production and office personnel. Our capabilities include foil stamping, embossing, die cutting, gluing and folding, laminating, specialist UV coatings, and screen printing.

Role Description

Machine Operators are responsible for operating various print finishing equipment (including set up, troubleshooting, teardown, etc.), completing job tickets, maintaining equipment by cleaning and adjusting as needed, performing quality checks, etc.

Shift

• 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm) – Training on 1st shift
• 2nd Shift Differential: $0.75/hour
• Occasional weekend availability preferred

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum two years of experience in the print or finishing industry (preferred)
• Good mechanical aptitude
• An eye for detail and quality
• Good oral and written communication and familiarity with reading job tickets

Physical Demands

Periodic twisting, lifting, bending, and able to lift 40 pounds with or without accommodations.

Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience operating the following machinery: Bobst, Kluge, Polar Cutter, Thompson, Iijima, Jagenburg, Steinemann, and Sakurai.
