Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Perfectbinder Operator to set up and operate perfect binding equipment in accordance with job specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols. This role is critical to producing high-quality finished products and supporting the ongoing success of our Finishing Department.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate perfectbinder.
Read and interpret job tickets; verify specifications and communicate needs.
Monitor production output and perform page pull tests.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary adjustments.
Follow customer packaging instructions and complete skid labeling.
Perform routine maintenance and ensure safe operation of equipment.
Support 5S and Lean manufacturing initiatives; and
Assist in mentoring and supporting finishing team members as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience operating perfectbinding and related finishing equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to read measurements and perform basic math, including fractions and conversions.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Proven commitment to quality, safety, and meeting production deadlines.
