Join GLGA for the June 2024 Safety Brief to learn more about OSHA’s OSHA walk-around rule. The Occupational Safety and Health Act gives both the employer and employees the right to authorize a representative to accompany OSHA officials during a workplace inspection. The final rule clarifies that, consistent with the OSH Act, workers may authorize another employee to serve as their representative or select a non-employee. For a non-employee representative to accompany the inspector into a workplace, they must be reasonably necessary to the conduct of an effective and thorough inspection. Roger will discuss how to handle this situation and what steps you can take to prepare for an OSHA inspection.

Safety Briefs are quick, powerful safety programs (10-15 minutes) followed by as much Q+A time as you need. You can stay just for the presentations or take a deeper dive and ask some questions. Safety Brief Webinars will be held on the third Monday of every month at 11:00 a.m. Eastern/10:00 a.m. Central. Recordings are available through GLGA.
