Recently, the executive orders on COVID-19 have expired or relaxed. Additionally, federal agencies such as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration have issued guidance. In this webinar, the speakers will help employers wade through the abundance of information as they adapt to the “new normal.” The speakers also will discuss the difficult issues employers are facing, including employee refusals to work, workplace safety and health directives, and best strategies for reopening their businesses or returning to their physical workplaces.

About the Presenters:

Timothy Kamin represents and counsels employers through a broad range of traditional labor law issues, including collective bargaining negotiations, labor arbitrations, National Labor Relations Board proceedings and union organizing campaigns and decertification elections. He also advises clients on employment law matters and has developed and presented training programs regarding legal compliance, effective and positive employee relations, and other topics for human resources professionals, managers and supervisors.

Sarah Platt partners with employers of all sizes to find proactive and practical ways to address issues that could otherwise limit the success of employees and companies. Sarah counsels clients every day through challenging leave and accommodation issues under the ADA, FMLA and state laws. Sarah also often serves as an outside investigator and participates on clients’ crisis management teams to respond to harassment and other internal complaints, including those arising at the highest level of an organization. She frequently provides training to clients, from front-line workers to executive leadership, relating to harassment, accommodations and leave management, FMLA compliance, pay equity and other legal requirements and best practices.
