A successful plant production manager will be knowledgeable enough in the book manufacturing industry to schedule jobs for production, ensure proper materials are reserved for each job, and oversee the production of perfect-bound, case-bound, saddle-stitched, and spiral-bound books.
The plant operates 24/5, working days M-F. Shifts are from 5:30 am – 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm, 10:30 pm – 6 am.
The plant production manager’s hours could be dependent on individual needs/preferences, though it’s preferred that they have at least some overlap with the second shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm)
Requirements:
Experience managing at least 20 people
Ability to learn a new inventory management software
Literacy in Excel preferred
Must be willing to relocate within a drivable distance from plant
