We currently have opportunities for Web Printing Shift Supervisors.

Primary Responsibilities:

Leading and directing press crews in the efficient operation of web, sheetfed and roll-to-roll presses running complex formats.

Registering presses using plate cockers and bussels, kicking and twisting plates as well as automatic register systems.

Consistently balancing ink and water to achieve acceptable color within specified M/R standards, including UV.

Understanding the capabilities of, and being able to operate, ancillary press equipment.

Setting up, operating and troubleshooting all inline equipment (e.g., gluing, plow folding, die cutting, rotary cutting).

Training press crews on all facets of press operations.

Consistently achieving productivity, waste and quality standards and accurately tracking press counts.

Establishing and promoting an environment where learning and process improvement are encouraged.

Driving efficiency initiatives to reduce waste and increase production within set quality standards.

Ensuring that pressroom is clean and safe and that work is performed consistently with Company SOPs and safety guidelines, as well as governmental rules and regulations.

Facilitating good communication between shifts to ensure critical information is gathered and passed along smoothly and without interruption.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have 4 years of high school and 5-7 years of progressively responsible related work experience.

Must have experience with inline finishing.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment, and be willing to work overtime as needed.
