Job Description: To plan, organize, direct and manage all set-up and maintenance activities for the operations and repair of printing press equipment, buildings, grounds, and other related facilities and systems.
Manages, evaluates, and trains maintenance and set-up personnel in all maintenance and press set-up functions to keep equipment and buildings in top condition.
Selects, orders, and receives supplies and materials as necessary for the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and buildings.
Plans, schedules, prioritizes and directs all maintenance and set-up activities as necessary to meet plant operation schedules, equipment and building repair needs, and preventative maintenance needs.
Assesses and evaluates equipment and facilities for useful life expectancy and makes recommendations for removal or replacement as necessary.
Prepares specifications for contractor bids and selects, evaluates, and supervises contractors for work completion per contract.
Maintains maintenance records, prepares reports on maintenance activities and prepares cost, time and manpower estimates as requested by VP, Operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Inform employees of job and production requirements and support quality standard to meet the needs of our customers.
Train employees in job skills, improve work processes, and develop own competence.
Positively reinforce proper work procedures, compliance with SG360 policies, and observance of safety and security rules.
Strong understanding or training in HVAC and fire protection systems.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and instrument maintenance background.
Requires the ability to read/work from engineering blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
General knowledge of machining principles and use precision measuring devices.
Good knowledge of: building maintenance and operations functions; building energy conservation techniques; building codes and related regulations.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Must possess strong troubleshooting skills.
Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel or crouch for job.
May be exposed to hot/humid and/or dusty work environment.
May be exposed to controlled non-toxic mists or vapors
Ten (10) years of experience in maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of printing press equipment, specifically with Inline and Web Presses, machining processes, and maintaining HVAC systems.
Familiarity with PCE (pollution control equipment)
Familiar with 5S/Lean Manufacturing Practices
