Salary: $16.00 per hour, DOE, Weekly Pay, Paid Time Off, 401(k), and Benefits for Full Time permanent employees!

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Weekend work available. 6am to 2:30pm (Pitney), 10pm-6:30am (Kern)

Position Summary:
This position will focus on the set-up and operation of the inserters and mail machines within the mailing department to ensure efficient shifts.  They will work closely with other members of the mail room and with other department to understand job related needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
Employee will operate and set-up motorized mail-based machines to ensure the production of mail including insertion, sealing, and postage.
Set up machines including pockets, outer envelope, camera, inkjet
Produce mail on inserting equipment and monitor output
Assist sorter in traying mail
Meet required timetables, piece counts, and deadlines for the teams.

1 to 3 years working in a manufacturing or mail room preferred
Bilingual in Spanish and English including the ability to read, write, and speak
Read and execute job tickets
Minimum 2 years’ experience operating mail inserting equipment.
Experience operating Pitney Bowes MSE, Pitney Bowes FPS or Kern 3600 preferred
Great knowledge in standard job setups and operating features of the inserter equipment
Ability to communicate in writing and verbally.
Ability to do basic high school level math.
Ability to identify inadequate machine operation and make basic adjustments
Strong mechanical skills required
Flexibility on start time and Weekends required
High school diploma or equivalent vocational training

Physical Requirements:
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
Ability to stand and operate equipment about 95% of the shift
Ability to sit and be sedentary about 5% of the shift
Work in an office environment about 10% of the time
Work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment about 90% of the time
Ability to work in varying temperatures depending on seasonality.
