GLGA News: GLGA Among 10 Independent PIA Affiliates on Board to Support PRINT United
PRINT United will be promoted by the Great Lakes Graphics Association, the Graphic Arts Association, Printing & Imaging Association of MidAmerica, Printing Industries Alliance, Printing Industries Association of San Diego, Printing Industries Association, Inc. of Southern California, Printing Industries of Ohio and N. Kentucky, Printing Industry Association of the South, Inc., Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia, and Visual Media Alliance.
“The industry is experiencing a process of vertical integration, with printers no longer considering themselves simply a “commercial, wide format, tag/label or packaging” printer,” said Joseph Lyman, GLGA president. “Print United provides those companies that are diversifying their product lines and services the opportunity to gather critical information and resources necessary to succeed in growing verticals that capture higher margins and provide customers with greater value. GLGA is thrilled to partner with Print United and believes it will be the industry “go-to event” for years to come.”
Mark Subers, president, PRINT United, and president/CRO – Printing & Packaging, Publishing, NAPCO Media, said, “PRINT United will be an experience to find answers and to address the needs and demands of customers. We’ll do that by bringing in a wide breadth of exhibitors and attendees from all sectors of the print industry. Attendees will leave with new ways to meet and exceed their customers’ expectations.”
SGIA will retire the SGIA Expo following this year’s event in Las Vegas in October 2018. Excitement is building as special activities are being planned for the final show, and the PIA affiliates are encouraging their members to attend.
In addition to finding relevance in the convergence of markets, the associations recognize the importance of the technologies that will be on display at PRINT United. As such, their support will begin this year with the 2018 SGIA Expo.
