About Our Presenters:
Stephen Colella, VP of Postal Affairs at Calmark Group

Stephen Colella is Vice President Postal Affairs for The Calmark Group.  The Calmark Group, located in Bedford Park, IL, is a large mail service provider mailing in excess of 600 million pieces annually. Starting his career in 1973, Mr. Colella has held a variety of management positions in production, customer service, sales and postal affairs.

Mr. Colella has been involved with MTAC for over 20 years and now represents IDEAlliance at MTAC. At MTAC he serves as the industry lead for the Emerging Technology & Product innovation Focus Area.  Mr. Colella has a MBA from DePaul University and was a recipient of the USPS Industry Excellence Award for Progressive Mailing Practices in the Advertising Mail and Print Industry.

Robert Dixon, Jr., Director, Product Technology and Innovation at USPS

Robert (Bob) E. Dixon, Jr. was named Director, Product Technology and Innovation in September 2014. In this role, Mr. Dixon oversees the development of new technology-based products and services that extend the suite of Postal Service offerings to both consumers and businesses. He is responsible for physical innovations in the production and the distribution of all of the Postal Service’s Expedited Shipping Supplies and Products. Prior to being named Director, Product Technology Innovations, Mr. Dixon served as CEO and founder of a professional services start-up focusing on web-technologies serving commercial and government clients.

Mr. Dixon began his postal career in 1999 as a contract employee and assisted in the development of the original PostalOne! Application and the early customer identity and analytics solutions. In 2007, he became a career Postal employee, leading the development of the Full Service platform and in 2010, he took over the technical implementation of USPS.com. Throughout his career, Mr. Dixon has continued to develop other programs such as Click-N-Ship and Web Tools. He developed the MY USPS technology platform which offers proactive package tracking to USPS customers. New products such as Informed Delivery and Intelligent Addressing has emerged from the MY USPS technology platform.
